WASHINGTON, DC – Stephen F. Mona, CAE, chief executive officer of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) in Lawrence, KS, is continuing a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE), where he is helping to shape the agenda and direction of the 85-year-old society moving forward.
Mona was sworn in along with the rest of the ASAE Board of Directors at the ASAE & The Center for Association Leadership Annual Meeting & Exposition in Nashville, TN, August 13-16, 2005.
Headquartered in Washington, DC, ASAE is an individual membership organization made up of more than 22,000 association executives and industry partners. Its members manage leading trade associations, individual membership societies and voluntary organizations across the United States and in 50 countries worldwide. It also represents industry partners who supply products and services to the association community. Together with The Center for Association Leadership, ASAE helps associations transform society through the power of collaboration.

Mona is chief executive officer of Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA), the professional association for the men and women who manage and maintain the game’s most valuable resource — the golf course. The association has 104 affiliated chapters, with more than 75 countries having a GCSAA member in residence.
