ORLANDO, Fla. (September 22, 2005) – eCoaching Technology, a leading sports video distance learning company, will unveil its new 2.1 system and ‘Customer for Life’ Program at the PGA Fall Expo Sept. 28-29 in Las Vegas, in Booth #846. Features of the 2.1 system are geared toward improving communication and the educational process between instructor and student/athlete by enabling their interaction during both in-person lessons and remote/distance learning. The ‘Customer for Life’ Program facilitates ongoing communication between instructor and student for the long term. eCoaching Technology now implements a true distance learning capability for golf instructors, utilizing Dartfish to enhance instructors’ content delivery.
"The 2.1 system brings new, exciting and valuable capabilities to the portfolio of what a golf instructor now can offer students," said Marc Matoza, co-founder of eCoaching and Dartfish Director of Golf. "This advanced system allows coaches and instructors to communicate techniques and philosophies in the most timely and comprehensive manner."
eCoaching and its ‘Customer for Life’ program recently were selected for use by the PGA TOUR Golf Academy at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine, Fla., and have been incorporated into the Academy’s golf instructional schools and private lessons. They also are in use at the Brad Brewer Golf Academy in Orlando, Fla.
New features for instructors and players include an enhanced online Library for activites such as drills, exercies and tips. A new simple template allows an instructor to incorporate his own drill and exercise content, with pictures and text, into recommendable drill sheets and video clips accessible by students over the Web. After a lesson, an instructor can attach an activity to a player’s online locker or list of prescribed activities. Another important new feature is the Athlete’s ToolBox, which provides an "at-a-glance" summary of a golfer’s personal locker containing instructor analysis by video, lesson content, drills and exercises, eJournaling training programs and more.
Benefits to instructors of the 2.1 system include: easy creation of drill sheets with seamless upload and linking of video clips; time-saving content storage; promotion of branding and image; and a means of replication so that assistant instructors can prescribe library content from the master professional’s library.
Benefits to golfers include: improved retention of lesson content and activities; ability to access details, key positions and images any time and to view video of their instructor properly demonstrating form and execution; a "high-tech" take-home package after each lesson that is simple to access from a home computer over the Internet; and a daily/weekly/monthly eJournal calendar showing individualized practice and training tips and library activities.
eCoaching Technology, begun in 2004, is a comprehensive system for instructors and coaches which delivers video feedback utilizing Dartfish Video Technology, the leader in sports video analysis software. The ‘Customer for Life’ system also aids in performance enhancement planning, access to drill & tip libraries and training & event scheduling through a Web database. eCoaching is establishing itself as the leader in online athletic performance enhancement.
