New Driver Reaches the U.S.G.A. Limit with 460cc club head
St. Charles, IL-Vulcan Golf is proud to introduce the new Caldera 460 Driver. This new addition to the Vulcan line is the product of painstaking research coupled with the latest in golf club technology.
"We wanted to design a driver that would be an asset to the skilled player and the newcomer to the game," said Vulcan president and industry veteran Gary Hansberger. "We wanted to design a club head that every golfer could handle and we wanted it to be powered by a shaft that would add considerable distance while not sacrificing control."
What Hansberger and his club designers produced was a thin wall plate titanium with a fusion-plasma welding for the head and an ultra strong, ultra light SP700 Beta Titanium face. This combination reduced the head weight by five percent. In total, the Caldera 460 Driver weighs just 304 grams and carries a D3 swing weight.
The real secret to the Caldera 460 Driver is that the head technology allowed them to arm the club with a UST V2 57g Ultra Lite Graphite Shaft that is 47 inches long-two inches longer than standard.
"Normally, only certain players can handle the longer driver shafts," said Hansberger, "but because of the overall lightweight design of the Caldera 460 Driver, all golfers will be able to better control their drives and hit the ball farther at the same time."
The Caldera 460 Driver is available in Men’s and Ladies right hand models with lofts of 9, 10, 11, 12, 13.5 and 15-degrees. There is also a Men’s and Ladies right handed offset model available with 11-degrees of loft.
