SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (October 3, 2005) – Datrek Miller International, Inc. today announced the appointment of Greg Hood to Western Director of Business Development and James Havens as Eastern Director of Business Development in its On Course division. Mr. Hood had previously held the position of Western Regional Sales Manager and Mr. Havens had been the Carolinas Section Manager.
These newly created positions will have responsibility for the development of key growth initiatives, including the recruitment and training of the sales force for the On Course division of DMI.
Mr. Hood brings over 20 years of experience in golf sales, sales management and PGA Tour player representation to this position and has been integral to the company’s success in its recruiting efforts with PGA Career Links.
Mr. Havens, who is a Class A PGA Professional, spent the first 10 years of his career with the PGA Tour/ TPC network. He has been with DMI since 2003. His performance in the Carolina territory, his training of new team members in the East and his productivity with top accounts/ business partners led to the promotion.
In announcing Messrs. Hood and Havens’ appointments, Harry Murley, VP/ Sales & Marketing for the On Course division of DMI said," We are growing our business at DMI by specializing in channel management. Greg and James’ new responsibilities will help us focus on recruiting, we can fully train and further develop our sales personnel in the field and we will be able to maximize our partnership programs with our key accounts."
