PACOIMA, Calif. — Harrison Sports wrestled away a large share of the top money this past weekend, garnering second-place at the SAS Championship on the Champions Tour and a sixth-place finish at the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro on the PGA Tour.
This year’s runner-up at the SAS Championship clinched second-place with Harrison’s new Impulse Hybrid shaft in his Adams hybrid club, while one of the sixth-place finishers on the PGA Tour played a Harrison Pro 2.5 graphite shaft in his TaylorMade 5-wood. Earnings the two Harrison players totaled more than $300,000.
"We had another great week, especially at the SAS Championship," says Cory Roberts, a Champions Tour representative for Harrison Sports. "Harrison shafts are delivering a high level of performance and reliability for many pro players, and we’re very excited to have shafts in the hands of so many players, including the No. 3 money leader on the Champions Tour."
New for 2005, Harrison’s Impulse Hybrid shafts incorporate a patent-pending Inlay Titanium Matrix which features a thin layer of titanium wrapped around the shaft’s tip section to increase stability, reduce torque and improve accuracy. Without enhanced stability, most graphite shafts can distort upon impact and send shots significantly offline. However, the Impulse’s special hybrid design and advanced titanium layer deliver reliable shot after reliable shot.
Harrison shafts are made from the finest in graphite, titanium and boron materials and they have secured their place among the top five of the most-used graphite shafts in the world. Harrison’s reputation for quality was first established among golf clubmakers and golf specialty shop owners whose needs for exacting specifications in custom fitting required uniform frequencies and manufacturing consistencies. As technologically superior as they are eye-catching, Harrison shafts met those needs and have become a popular and growing choice among professionals, clubmakers and golf enthusiasts. Harrison shafts are available from more than 1000 local dealers throughout the United States. For a dealer near you, please call 1.800.347.4646 or e-mail info@harrison.com.
