PACOIMA, Calif. — One of the world’s leading graphite shaft manufacturers, Harrison Sports featured several graphite shaft models in play on the pro tours this week and captured highly prized money positions. Harrison-branded shafts earned two fourth-place money positions at the Greater Hickory Classic on the Champions Tour, adding to its impressive Top 10 total on the year and making Harrison one of golf’s best success stories of the 2005 season.
"On a golf course that exhibits interesting and tight landing areas and long par-5’s, the Greater Hickory Classic offered another great finish for Harrison shafts," says Cory Roberts, a tour representative for Harrison Sports. "One veteran player used a 60-gram Harrison Pro 2.5 shaft and another Champions player used a Harrison Striper shaft. Both players tied for fourth-place, while two other Harrison players finished inside the Top 20."
The high-performance Pro 2.5 Series is well-known for winning seven consecutive World Long Drive championships, and features high-modulus designs that are extremely consistent and accurate. The Harrison Pro 2.5 shaft is composed of boron reinforced X-5200 graphite and offers a mid-high flex point and only 2.5 degrees of torque.
Designed and manufactured from the finest in graphite, titanium and boron materials, Harrison shafts have secured their place among the top five of the most-used graphite shafts in the world. Harrison has earned a highly respected reputation for quality among golf clubmakers and golf specialty shop owners whose custom fitting needs often require exacting specifications in frequencies and manufacturing consistencies.
