Hattiesburg, Mississippi (January 9, 2024) – Canebrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Miss., has unveiled a new multi-million-dollar Tennis and Pickleball Complex that includes the new outdoor food and beverage facility “Courtside.”
The state-of-the-art complex features 12 tennis courts, including eight hard and four clay courts, as well as 12 pickleball courts. The complex will host tennis and pickleball tournaments, tennis league play, individual and team clinics/lessons, as well as after school and summer programs for juniors. The open-air pavilion includes a casual dining experience with a café-style menu featuring brick oven pizza, table seating for up to 80, two fire pits surrounded by oversized Adirondack chairs, a full bar and two large screen televisions.
The club’s new Tennis/Pickleball Membership provides full access to and the use of the Tennis and Pickleball Sports Complex, as well as the Canebrake’s swimming facility, dining, and clubhouse facilities.

The Tennis and Pickleball Sports Complex will be led by longtime Hattiesburg tennis professional Teddy Viator. Teddy and his staff will provide individual as well as group tennis and pickleball lessons for juniors and adults.
