Circling Raven Golf Club is looking to add an Equipment Technician to our team. This individual will work closely with our Equipment Manager and Golf Course Superintendent to ensure equipment is maintained and repaired in a timely manner and ready to prepare the Golf Course to our standards each day. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of Golf Course equipment and is willing to learn and grow within our program.
Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on Golf Course equipment such as mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and other small engines as specified by the Equipment Manager.
Coordinate with the Equipment Manager and other team members to prioritize equipment repair and maintenance.
Complete repairs in a timely manner with the highest level of workmanship.
Occasionally operates equipment to ensure proper operation, safety, and ability.
Communicates problems and required repairs with Equipment Manager/Golf Course Superintendent in a timely manner.
Daily tuning and back-lapping of reels for all Golf Course surfaces.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment.
Maintain accurate records of equipment repair and maintenance to include; parts, labor, and materials used.
Maintain a clean and organized shop area including a complete and accurate inventory of all shop tools and materials.
Other projects and duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates of science degree in Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 year working in a Golf Course environment.
Must have a valid driver’s license and provide evidence of a good driving record.
Must work well in a team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Continued education through the GCSAA.
Ability to interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
Strong mechanical aptitude required.
Strong knowledge of the operation of light and heavy maintenance equipment, electrical and hydraulic systems, basic welding skills, and the care and operation of internal combustion engines required.
