SUMMARY: Meet on a timely and regular basis with authorized PING accounts throughout an assigned territory, explaining/offering/elaborating upon our company culture, values/principles, philosophy, programs, and products. PING Field Representatives will be courteous and professional while making, at all times, a good sale for both the account and PING.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Achieve annual sales targets and other sales initiatives as defined by sales management through established distribution channels approved and determined by PING.
- Perform sales and service visits at qualified accounts according to established PING Sales Department guidelines.
- Effectively present and sell PING products, secure orders, and place orders.
- Establish and maintain exceptional customer relations with all accounts and individuals involved in the selling process.
- Enhance the presence of PING products and services through the effective communication and implementation of PING sales programs.
- Optimize PING Sales Department allocated resources while adhering to established guidelines to achieve annual sales targets.
- Conduct an appropriate number of product knowledge seminars, fitting training seminars, and fitting/demo days at PING accounts.
- Coordinate tech help training, documentation and usage along with fitting equipment needs and fitting/demo day supplies that ensures elevated consumer fitting experience.
- Strategically place and maintain PING point of sale displays and collateral material.
- Complete PING Sales Department assigned administrative responsibilities according to established company guidelines and timeframes.
- Stay proactively and tactically involved in the credit discussion and process with accounts as necessary or directed by the credit department.
- Adhere to PING policies and guidelines that relate to: credit, returns, and PING’s global distribution strategy.
- At all times, PING Field Representative will be respectful of others and conduct and present themselves in a professional manner consistent with the values/morals, integrity and honesty that are the foundational principles of the PING brand.
- Attend company sponsored training/information seminars, regional and national trade shows as necessary.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up 50 pounds.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree from a properly accredited college or university, plus minimum 3 years’ golf industry experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to professionally present product to an audience with professionalism, conviction and complete product knowledge.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with customers. Skilled at adjusting communication style to meet audience needs and expectations.
Ability to achieve sales results in all product categories as outlined in annual target.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to take direction and critical feedback and act on this direction.
Excellent presentation and training skills.
Proven ability to set priorities, plan and coordinate work activities and obtain and manage resources so work objectives are accomplished on time.
Intermediate level of computer literacy of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerApps.
Solid golf background; understanding terminology of the game; strong knowledge of golf industry, market, and account base.
Demonstrated broad based knowledge of PING product offerings.
