Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive, people-focused Customer Success & Sales Lead to help us grow and support our user base. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on building relationships, leading a high-performing support team, and driving revenue through account expansion and new sales. You will also need to bring critical thinking, clear communication, and problem-solving skills to bear—especially in high-pressure moments or when evaluating complex customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Success & Support
- Lead, coach, and manage the Customer Service team to ensure high-quality, timely support across all channels (chat, email, phone)
- Establish and refine support workflows, processes, and performance metrics.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex customer issues, helping to resolve challenges and drive satisfaction.
Account Management
- Build strong relationships with key clubs, leagues, and community organizers.
- Onboard new accounts and guide them through successful adoption and usage of the Unknown Golf platform.
- Proactively manage renewals and identify upselling opportunities based on customer goals and engagement.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Collaborate with marketing and leadership to identify and qualify new sales opportunities.
- Conduct product demos, trials, and follow-ups to close new business.
- Track pipeline activity and contribute to revenue forecasts.
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in customer support, account management, or sales (ideally in SaaS or sports tech).
- Previous experience leading a customer service team or managing direct reports.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present options and recommendations clearly over screen share or phone.
- Proven ability to think critically and solve problems under pressure, particularly in customer-facing scenarios.
- Comfortable analyzing information and evaluating solutions to make sound, actionable recommendations.
- A customer-first mindset with the ability to balance support and sales objectives.
- Self-starter mentality with comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Bonus: Golf knowledge or experience working with golf clubs/leagues is a big plus
