1 Golf Introduces All-in-One Membership Management – For Private (or Semi) Clubs

September 29, 2026

One member account connects dues, recurring billing, minimum spend requirements, family & guest billing, individual tee time privileges, invoicing, online member portal with detailed financial information, and payments across the club.

PHOENIX, Ariz.  – 1 Golf, the industry’s only golf course operator co-op, today introduced its connected Membership and Billing module for private and semi-private clubs. The module brings membership plans, recurring dues, billed point-of-sale charges, minimum-spend requirements, family billing, tee-sheet privileges and member payments together inside the 1 Golf Operating System.

Instead of maintaining separate records for billing, reservations, purchases and member access, club teams can manage each relationship through one member account. Charges from across the operation can flow into the same account used to generate statements, collect payments and apply club-specific privileges.

Members receive a more consistent experience as well. Through the member portal, they can review statements, pay invoices, manage stored payment methods and update reservations without calling the golf shop or accounting office for routine requests.

“Private clubs should not have to piece together a member account from one system, a statement from another and reservation privileges from somewhere else,” said Dale Merritt, CEO of 1 Golf. “We built Membership and Billing so the club can see the complete relationship in one place, while members get a simple way to manage their account. That means less manual reconciliation for the staff and fewer disconnected experiences for the member.”

How Membership and Billing Helps Private Clubs

The module is designed around the relationships that make private-club operations more complex than a standard customer account. A member may belong to a family, hold a specific membership class, receive preferred booking access, maintain a house account, carry a monthly spending commitment and make purchases across several club departments. 1 Golf keeps those rules and transactions connected to the appropriate member record.

Core Membership and Billing Capabilities

Recurring Dues and Automated Billing

  • Create membership plans and billing schedules. Set recurring dues and other scheduled charges according to the club’s membership structure.
  • Generate invoices and statements. Bring recurring charges and club activity together in a clear member statement.
  • Support automatic payments and collections. Process approved auto-pay methods and identify overdue balances that need staff attention.

Connected House Accounts and Club Charges

  • Capture purchases across the property. Connect golf shop, food and beverage, event and other point-of-sale charges to the member account.
  • Maintain one running account. Keep dues, purchases, credits, adjustments and payments in the same transaction history.
  • Reduce reconciliation work. Give club teams a shared view instead of transferring information among separate systems.

Family Billing

  • Link related member accounts. Associate spouses, children and other eligible family members with a primary billing relationship.
  • Consolidate family activity. Roll eligible family charges into one invoice while preserving the activity associated with each individual.

Minimum Spend Tracking

  • Define qualifying purchases. Track spending by the categories and time periods established by the club.
  • Calculate remaining commitments. Show progress toward the requirement and apply any eligible shortfall to the member’s invoice.

Member Specific Access and Benefits

  • Apply booking privileges automatically. Use membership class to control booking windows, guest rules, pricing and tee-sheet access.
  • Support multiple membership structures. Configure different plans, privileges and benefits for the club’s member categories.
  • Extend consistent rules across properties. For multi-property organizations, apply the appropriate access and benefits wherever the membership is recognized.

Member Portal and Self Service

  • Provide online account access. Let members review balances, statements and transaction history from one portal.
  • Simplify payments. Allow members to pay invoices and manage approved payment methods online.
  • Connect account and golf activity. Give members access to reservations, club events and benefits through the same experience.

Built Into the Golf Course Operating System

Membership and Billing is part of the 1 Golf Operating System and works alongside the tee sheet, online booking, golf shop and food-and-beverage point of sale, CRM, Email Studio and other operational modules. This allows a club to keep member access, spending, communication and billing connected as activity occurs.

For club teams, the practical benefit is a more complete view of every member. Staff can understand the member’s plan, family relationships, purchases, minimum-spend progress, tee-sheet privileges, balance and payment history without searching across disconnected applications. For members, the benefit is a simpler account and a more consistent club experience.
