"The Best of Myrtle Beach" Ranks Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore As One Of Myrtle Beach’s Best Attractions
October 24, 2005, Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore is the best "Off-Course Golf Shop" in the Myrtle Beach, S.C. area, according to a report in the November issue of Golf Digest. The designation was based on the views of 1,000 traveling golfers polled by Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday.
The poll results were part of a special feature, "Nothing But The Best In Myrtle Beach," Golf Digest’s "first-ever" look at the cream of the Grand Strand. In addition to rating the best golf courses, the report named the best places to go in Myrtle Beach for dining, shopping, mini-golf, family fun and other attractions.
"It’s very gratifying to be recognized as the best off-course golf shop in Myrtle Beach when we’ve only had our Superstore concept in place for two years," said Paul Rodriguez, District Manager, Golf & Tennis Pro Shop, Inc., the owners of Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore. "Golfers are responding to our interactive approach to the game and to the service provided by our on-staff PGA professionals. Our approach to creating a golf store experience differentiates us from all other golf shops, both on-course and off. And every day we’re thinking of new ways to provide an even-better shopping experience."
In addition to carrying the largest selection of golf equipment, apparel, shoes and golf-themed home décor in the area, Martin’s PGA TOUR Superstore provides golfers with access to technology and services usually found in professional "Tour Vans" at tournament sites. Computerized swing simulators and launch monitors are in place to analyze a player’s swing speed, ball trajectory, launch angle and impact zone. Game improvement tools such as the SST Pure® Shaft Alignment System (PUREing) and the Balance-Certified — Golf’s Motion Balancing Adjustment Systemâ?¢ are available to adapt clubs to each individual’s needs. PGA of America pros on staff provide lessons, adjust a swing and guide club fitting.
"We have more PGA and LPGA professionals on staff than any other retailer in the area, and they combine the computer’s feedback with their experience in club
fitting and instruction," said Rodriguez. "The equipment enables us to give the golfer the best of both worlds — professional expertise and objective technical analysis."
