Centex Homes Myrtle Beach Division Is The Primary Developer Of The Upscale Resort

October 25, 2005, Myrtle Beach, S.C — Barefoot Resort & Golf in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., has been named to Where To Retire magazine’s list of "America’s 100 Best Master-Planned Communities." The announcement was made in the July/August issue. Centex Homes Myrtle Beach Division is the primary developer of the 2,300-acre resort.
Barefoot Resort & Golf offers extraordinary amenities and is popular among retirees, as well as families and second homebuyers. Residents have access to an eight-acre residents’ club, which features a swimming pool, fitness center, and tennis facilities, as well as four championship golf courses designed by some of golf’s top names — Greg Norman, Pete Dye, Davis Love III, and Tom Fazio. In addition, an onsite Centex Homes lifestyle director is available to coordinate social activities.
"Centex Homes Myrtle Beach is honored to be recognized as one of America’s 100 Best Master-Planned Communities," said Mike Wyatt, Centex Homes Myrtle Beach Division president. "Where To Retire magazine is a highly respected publication and is known for its objectivity and thorough evaluation of properties."
Editors of Where To Retire conducted research for eight months, examining and evaluating several hundred candidates across the country before choosing an elite group of developments that offer today’s retirees a well-rounded, active lifestyle.
