Orlando, FL- Once again, Guerin Rife putters are atop the leader board on both the PGA Tour and the Champions Tours. Champions Tour money leader and top Schwab Cup points leader Dana Quigley used the Rife Two Bar putter in his T4th finish at this past weeks SBC Championship. Rife Putters again held the 2nd spot on the Champions Tour Darrell Survey with 12 putters in play (the next closest company had 9 putters in play). "As Avis use to say were 2nd and proud of it" says COO Matthew Molloy.
Quigley finished tied for 4th with another player using the Rife Two Bar, who shot a final round 66. This players top 5 finish enabled him to leap from 34th to 30th and grab the final spot at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, guaranteeing him his card on the Champions Tour for the 2006 season.
PGA Tour
At the Funai Classic in Orlando, the GR5 series 303 stainless steel putter, a new prototype for tour players, helped one of the tour’s young stars shoot a 21 under par tournament total to finish T3. This time it was the GR5 series "Mr. Beasley" not the "Aussie Blade" that saw some success on the big tour.
"Each week we see our usage numbers of the both the Rife Two Bar line and the new limited edition GR5 series gain more acceptance and success on all major tours. In fact, our numbers are growing extremely fast on the Nationwide TOUR after just introducing the product to the up and coming stars. To date, we have two solo 2nd place finishes on the Nationwide TOUR this year", says Chief Operating Officer Matthew Molloy. Mr. Molloy adds, "Our current GR5 prototype line will be available to the public this spring in the form of the GR6 series, which will include a total of six new 303 soft stainless steel putters. We are certain they will grab a lot of attention at the retail level as they incorporate better feel, better performance, sleek classic designs, and yet will be offered at a more reasonable price compared to the other high-end fully CNC milled putters on the market."
About Guerin Rife Putters
Rife Putters, LLC is the true innovator behind horizontal grooved face putter technology with a patent on specifically sized grooves since 1997. These precisely spaced grooves allow the putter to gently press into the cover of the ball and grip and lift it into an instant forward roll. Guerin Rife states, "just as grooves in irons help control spin so do grooves in a putter face." Other companies are now trying to imitate this patented technology but the spacing of the grooves is the true key to the gripping and lifting effect of grooved face putter technology. Horizontal RollGroove faced putters create the truest "no skid" roll in golf no matter where you hit the ball on the putter face.
