The American Society of Golf Course Architects (ASGCA) is releasing an updated version of its frequently-requested brochure, Golf Course Development Planning Guide. The renamed brochure, The Golf Course Development Process: Questions and Answers, is a helpful resource for anyone taking the first steps to develop a new golf course.

The four-page brochure covers all the key components involved in a new course project, including proper site selection, project feasibility, a guide to finding assistance and the development process steps. Municipal officials, investors, members of review boards, golf professionals, course superintendents, course owners and other interested parties will benefit from the updated brochure and its complete coverage of the beginning steps in the development process.

"This planning guide is an excellent primer for anyone seriously interested in developing a new course project," says Tom Marzolf, ASGCA President. "It sheds much needed light on a complicated process that developers and investors too often take for granted. Proper planning can save a lot of headaches and troubles down the road."

The free brochure may be obtained by calling ASGCA at 262/ 786-5960, emailing at info@asgca.org, or writing to ASGCA, 125 N. Executive Drive, Suite 106, Brookfield, WI 53005.
