CHICAGO, IL.- October 28, 2005 – Sal Lupo the marketing partner of the late Gary Adams, founder of TaylorMade Golf, Founders Club, and McHenry Metals dies of a severe head injury.
Lupo, a golf industry luminary, enjoyed a long and prosperous golf-marketing career. His ability to translate a concept into a company is epitomized in the success of TaylorMade Golf. He was there from the beginning. Lupo and Adams spent hours in a small garage in McHenry, Illinois where the first TaylorMade metal wood was developed which single handedly revolutionized an industry.
Lupo’s successful advertising company, Lupo & Associates was responsible for TaylorMade’s award winning "The Art of Golf" advertising campaign which earned him notoriety and recognition. His passion for marketing thrived throughout his life. Prior to his passing, Lupo was working as a consultant with several new golf companies, including one he insisted cured the yips.
Lupo’s passing resulted from a serious fall which caused terrible head trama. He was a father, grandfather, and true gentleman. According to his daughter Patti Lupo, "The world is a is going to miss his laughter and bright spirit."

The funeral service is schedule for Monday October 31 at 10:00 am at St. Alphonsus Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights, IL
