Matrix Shafts continue their presence on the Japan Tour’s Top Ten
Brea, CA October 26, 2005 — OZIK is translated "The Only One" in Korean. On Sunday, October 9, the new Matrix OZIK TP-7 stood as "the only" victor at the Japan Golf Tour’s Coca-Cola Tokai Classic at the Miyoshi Golf Club near Najoya in the hands of Japan Tour player Yong-Eun Yang. The title gives Matrix Ozik 4 wins in its first 3 official weeks in the hands of international Tour players. The title is Yang’s first of the 2005 season.
Yong-Eun Yang, of South Korea is currently #9 on the Japan PGA Tour Money List and ranks 11th in Driving Distance and 16th in Greens in Regulation. Also in the Japan Top 10 is S.K. Ho, who has three international wins with Matrix Shafts in his bag in 2005. Before this event, Yang received his $1000 Matrix OZIK TP-7 as a gift from fellow Korean golf star K.J. Choi, a Matrix Staffer at the U.S. Open..
"We are beginning to see big results all over the world on every Tour," revealed Matrix CEO Jin You. "Three years ago we hoped to just have PGA Tour players try our shafts and give us their feedback. Now we have players from every Tour – PGA, LPGA, Korean, Japan, European – calling us and saying ‘what is Matrix Ozik and how can I get it?’ It is very satisfying to see this much excitement and this much success surrounding Matrix Shafts. I want to congratulate Yong-Eun. Yang, who is a great player, on a great victory."
Matrix will be launching the Matrix Ozik franchise exclusively through Matrix Authorized Dealers across the world. The Ozik is broken down into two series. The "Gold" series features the TP-7 and TP-7x, each with a suggested retail price of $1000. The "Silver" series includes the Altus, Medius, and Infra, each retailing at $400.
