Four Straight PGA TOUR Winners Walk the Fairways in CHAMP Spikes
MARLBOROUGH, MA — As the 2005 golf season heads into the home stretch, CHAMP spikes are dominating the winners’ list on the PGA TOUR. All four October event winners wore CHAMP spikes.
Tour winners at the Chrysler Classic of Greensboro, the WGC — America Express Championship and the FUNAI Classic at DisneyWorld all wore CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec spikes while the winner of the Michelin Championship at Las Vegas sported CHAMP Stingerâ?¢ spikes.
"October was a huge month for CHAMP on the PGA TOUR," said Harris MacNeill, President of CHAMP. "As the top players are working to solidify their positions on the money list and world rankings, more and more of them are putting their trust in CHAMP."
With this victory, CHAMP spikes have won 22 times on the PGA Tour, including three of the four major championships. In 2004, CHAMP golf spikes produced 65 victories on the professional tours, with 34 Stinger wins, 14 CHAMP ScorpionSpikes wins and 17 CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec wins. CHAMP Stinger spikes posted seven victories on the PGA Tour, seven on the LPGA Tour, eight on the Champions Tour and 12 on the Nationwide Tour in 2004.
