World-Acclaimed Golf Course Design Firm Teams Up With World Class Golf Course Photographer to Raise Money for Katrina
Omaha, NE —Stonehouse Publishing Company announced today that it has received "Preferred Vendor" status from one of the world’s most prestigious golf course architects, Arthur Hills.
The arrangement authorizes Stonehouse to sell its trademark panoramic golf prints at all Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates-designed facilities, including world renowned courses such as Bay Harbor Golf Club in Petoskey, Mich., The Links at Lighthouse Sound in Ocean City, Md., and Big Horn in Palm Desert, Calif., host to several televised exhibition events, including The Skins Game and The Battle at Big Horn.
The agreement also specifies that 10% of all image sales will go to support a national charity. For the foreseeable future, all proceeds will go to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort.
"We are very excited to have the opportunity to work in conjunction with Arthur Hills and his entire team," said Eric Hayward, National Sales Manager, Stonehouse Publishing Company. "We feel there is a tremendous opportunity to bring further exposure to the courses in the Hills’ portfolio by utilizing Patrick Drickey’s patented panoramic imagery. On top of that, the fact that we can contribute to the Hurricane Katrina rebuilding effort is very rewarding."
"We’re happy to be associated with Stonehouse and Patrick Drickey because, as architects, we appreciate the power and beauty of course imagery," said Arthur Hills, founder and principal of Toledo, Ohio-based Arthur Hills/Steve Forrest and Associates. "Great photography has the power to effectively market clubs, of course, but it also gives existing members a sense of pride in their club and golf course. In this particular case, it also gives them the opportunity to assist people in need."
