E-Z-GO has agreed to supply the English Golf Union (EGU) with golf cars for all their Championship events and will also become the first sponsor of the EGU Community.
After a successful 2005, when E-Z-GO vehicles were used at the European Mens Team Championship and the Home Internationals in addition to the major annual national events, E-Z-GO will now become the exclusive supplier of golf cars to the EGU for the next three years. E-Z-GO will be supplying MPT utility vehicles and 2 and 4 seater shuttles for all 2006 EGU events.
The cars will be maintained and transported by Leeds Golf Car Company one of E-Z-GO’s main dealers.
Lynne Fraser, EGU Marketing and PR Manager said, "2005 was a very busy year for our Championships team with England hosting the Home Internationals and the European Mens Team events in addition to the national tournaments. The support from E-Z-GO and Leeds Golf Car Company ensured we had one less thing to worry about and I am delighted that we have secured an exclusive arrangement for 2006 and beyond."
As part of the sponsorship agreement E-Z-GO will also be supporting the EGU Community, an email-based service designed to enable golf clubs to rapidly share information with each other. Already used by over 1000 clubs in England the EGU Community is a free service that allows clubs to offer advice and solutions to other clubs questions.
Richard Tyrrell, International Sales Manager at E-Z-GO commented, "It’s a privilege to receive the endorsement of the EGU. We are looking forward to building on our relationship and supporting them throughout 2006."
Golf clubs can register for the EGU Community via the EGU website at www.englishgolfunion.org. The EGU website also carries reports, news and results on all the EGU Championships.
