More Than Half of World’s Elite Golfers Wear CHAMP Spikes at East Lake

MARLBOROUGH, MA — There was a clear favorite among PGA TOUR professionals at the season-ending TOUR Championship in Atlanta last week. Fifty-five percent of the qualifiers in the select field chose CHAMP spikes for the year’s final challenge at fabled East Lake Country Club.

A total of 16 of the 29 golfers in the competition wore CHAMP products. This included seven golfers who selected CHAMP Stingerâ?¢ spikes and eight competitors using CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec metal spikes.

In the 2005 season, CHAMP spikes have won 22 times on the PGA Tour, including three of the four major championships. In 2004, CHAMP golf spikes produced 65 victories on the professional tours, with 34 Stinger wins, 14 CHAMP ScorpionSpikes wins and 17 CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec wins. CHAMP Stinger spikes posted seven victories on the PGA Tour, seven on the LPGA Tour, eight on the Champions Tour and 12 on the Nationwide Tour in 2004.
