LEAWOOD, KANSAS (Nov. 9, 2005) – Accu-Length, the revolutionary junior golf clubs that’s rapidly attracting an increasing amount of retail attention, will now be selling its products in Golf USA’s corporate stores in Oklahoma City, OK. and Edmond, OK. The rollout will be supported with a major television campaign and consumer promotion provided by Cox Cable in Oklahoma City.
The agreement comes on the heels of the announcement in late October that The Golf Warehouse will be selling Accu-Length’s growing line of products both in its catalogue and on its Internet web site.
Accu-Length’s media campaign is intended to drive holiday sales for the two organizations and create consumer awareness for Accu-Length’s expandable junior golf club technology. Golf USA’s franchise stores number 100+ and growing 10-15% annually Accu-Length’s products are currently positioned in numerous Golf USA franchise locations across the USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico. More stores are expected to carry Accu-Length’s outstanding line of products in the very near future.
"Accu-Length has come onto the scene very quickly and very aggressively, and we really like their products and how they are going to market with them," says Brad Bowen, Director of Purchasing for Golf USA. "Accu-Length is offering the latest technology for junior golf, and they understand what it takes to help us succeed with those products. Accu-Length’s overall
marketing strategy is the best we have seen coming out of a junior golf club company, and we feel strongly that this campaign will effectively launch Accu-Length in our markets. Additionally, and just as importantly, we feel that the media campaign will have a positive impact on overall store volumes."
Accu-Length began its Consumer Awareness Program in May to support retailers who have committed to bring in their products. Under the program, retailers who agree to carry a minimum amount of Accu-Length products are supported by a significant television campaign in their areas that will include the name of their stores. The results have been extremely positive for both retailers and Accu-Length.
"Accu-Length’s Consumer Awareness Program is a win-win situation for everyone involved," says Jeff Sharpe, Territory Manager for OnTrack Sports, LLC, the parent company of Accu-Length. "Retailers who have joined the program have seen significant spikes in their junior club sales because of Accu-Length. We expect the same thing will happen with Golf USA’s participating stores.
"Anyone who is not part of the Consumer Awareness Program should be," adds Sharpe. "The support is excellent and your bottom line will show it."
Accu-Length’s foray into Golf USA’s corporate stores will be backed by multiple cable-based television commercials in the Oklahoma City and Enid areas on ESPN, ESPN2, The Golf Channel, and others. The ads will reach approximately 250,000 cable subscribers in the Oklahoma City area and another 15,000 in the Enid region. There will also be drawings at those stores for a set of Accu-Length Golf Clubs, a pair of tickets to The Senior Champions Tour event in May 2006 and a Golf Channel shirt.
"We are proud to be associated with Golf USA," says Rick Rutter, President, COO and Founder of OnTrack Sports, LLC, Makers of Accu-Length, the only Expandable Junior Golf Clubs. This organization is just full of great people who are passionate about their businesses—just like we are. That usually makes for a great business combination. Our philosophies are very similar, and we both realize the importance of supporting each other to win in the marketplace There is a tremendous upside for both organizations, and that’s what it’s all about in business.
Accu-Length recently introduced a new line of products, just in time for the Christmas shopping season. They include a 250cc stainless steel driver, left-handed starter sets and left-handed 5-irons, and a stainless steel mallet-style putter. They compliment the rest of Accu-Length’s exceptional product line.
Accu-Length is the only expandable junior golf club on the market. A one-of-a-kind spacer system allows Accu-Length to grow with the junior golfer without any sacrifice to the product’s quality. Accu-Length’s product line is known for its professional quality, with stainless steel heads and filament wound graphite shafts.
Accu-Length Expandable Junior Golf Clubs have received critical acclaim since hitting the marketplace. It was named the Best New Equipment Product at this year’s recent PGA Merchandise Show.
