Located on St. Andrew’s Bay, the golf courses are set amongst a natural terrain of scrub oaks, pines, and salt-water marshes and boast panoramic views of the bay. Both golf courses are managed by Birmingham, Alabama-based Honours Golf Company.
Opened in September, the championship, par-72 Nicklaus Course at Bay Point is the first Nicklaus-designed course in the Florida Panhandle. Working under lead designer Gary Nicklaus, the Nicklaus design team created a new layout that offers golfers a playable course while still incorporating strategic challenges. The Nicklaus Course measures 7,152 yards with a slope of 143 and 75.3 rating.
Serving as a perfect complement to the Nicklaus Course is Bay Point’s Meadows Course. Featuring a more traditional and straightforward style of play, the Meadows Course provides golfers with a challenging, yet friendly round of golf with its occasional tight fairways, numerous bunkers and lakes. Reminiscent of classic country club golf, the recently renovated course boasts 6,913 yards with a 73.3 course rating and a 121 slope from the blue tees.
