NORMAN, Okla. — The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and Hooters of America, Inc. will not renew their sponsorship agreement for the Men’s Collegiate Match Play Championship both groups announced today. Hooters will remain as title sponsor for the women’s match play event.

"We certainly appreciate all of the support we have received from Hooters of America and their influence in helping to make the Match Play become reality," said GCAA President Tom Drennan. "Hooters was a driving force and great corporate partner for the event. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Hooters of America on an upcoming event which we will be excited to announce in the near future."

"We are proud to have been a part of the creation of this event and wish the GCAA the best of luck in their future Match Play tournaments," said Mike McNeil, the Vice President of Marketing for Hooters of America. "We will now focus all of our resources into making the Woman’s Match Play event the best it can be and look forward to working with Roger Yaffe and the NGCA in the years to come."
