One of the world’s leading golf club manufacturers has signed up for next year’s London Golf Show.
Mizuno has committed to a return to ExCeL-London more than five months ahead of the show, which runs from April 27-30.
It follows a successful first staging of the London Golf Show, an innovative, consumer-led show which covered all aspects of the golfing spectrum – from swing aids to golf travel hotspots and from golf simulators to top quality apparel and a dazzling, ground-breaking fashion show.
And with the jewel in the crown arguably the ‘floating green’ moored in Victoria Dock, there were no shortage of tempters to lure back top club-maker Mizuno – not least a phenomenally busy four days.
Rob Jackson, Mizuno’s UK marketing manager, said: "For a first consumer show, it was a tremendous effort. It was very busy and well organised. It is definitely worth a repeat visit.
"If it hadn’t been a success, we wouldn’t have been coming back."
Mizuno will have a stand and two driving bays at ExCeL-London in April, as well as sponsoring the feature floating green.
Jackson added: "The great thing about the show is that we get the chance to speak directly to the public, and that’s highly important as they are the people who actually use our clubs. Trade shows simply don’t offer that opportunity.
"Golfers can then try our clubs on the big driving range at the show and have a demonstration before they buy. It covers all three aspects of what we are looking to achieve, and no other show offers us that opportunity.
"It worked well for us this year with limited staff and we will be looking for more of the same at next year’s show."
London Golf Show event director Jay Tyson said: "We are delighted that Mizuno has committed to next year’s show.
"Mizuno’s stand proved hugely popular with visitors in April, hence its decision to sign up for next year more than five months ahead of the show.
"And early backing from such a renowned manufacturer sends the firm message that the quality consumer show is able to attract the leading names in the world of golf."
Among new features, organisers say next year’s show will include "multiple greens" alongside the massively popular ‘floating green’ moored in Docklands.
