AUSTIN, Texas — Terry Koehler, a 25-year veteran of the golf equipment industry, has joined forces with the Small Business Administration’s 2002 Woman-Owned Business of the Year recipients, Cori Schock and Karen Martin in a new venture dedicated to advancing the technologies available in the field of sports training. CORE Sports Performance Inc.’s mission is to manufacture and market innovative fitness equipment to improve performance, strength and endurance for specific sports.
CORE’s first product, the CORE Golf Trainer® is a revolutionary and patented conditioning and teaching tool that utilizes hydraulic resistance to isolate and strengthen the ‘core’ muscles used in the golf swing. It trains the proper swing technique and builds the muscle strength and endurance necessary for the game. The revolutionary new training machine is being introduced to the fitness industry at the Athletic Business Conference & Expo in Orlando, Fla., on December 1, 2005.
"With the growing emphasis on power in the game, golfers are looking for more sophisticated fitness equipment that can provide them with technically sound golf swing training and strengthening," says Cori Schock, one of CORE’s vice-presidents of sales. "The CORE Golf Trainer is the only product on the market that can provide that and more. This piece of equipment will revolutionize the way golfers train for the game."
CORE Sports Performance President, Terry Koehler, has been in the golf equipment industry for 25 years. His work has ranged from product design to marketing to the post of President of three different equipment companies. He has been awarded five golf club patents and currently also serves as president of Eidolon Golf, which produces the award-winning Eidolon V-SOLE® wedges.
Vice-Presidents Cori Schock and Karen Martin were previously the co-owners of a group of Montana-based fitness clubs. In 2003, they formed The Circuit-Total Golf Fitness, which completed development of the early models of the CORE Golf Trainer and secured the U.S. Patent on the technology. Through a licensing arrangement with CORE Sports Performance, Inc., the product has been further refined and will be marketed worldwide.
The CORE Golf Trainer is presented as a complete golf fitness machine for golf academies, high school and college golf programs, golf resorts and any fitness centers that are committed to providing customers with the most innovative fitness and training device on the market.
