Industry Experts Collaborate to Help Attendees Grow Their Businesses, Advance Their Careers & Drive New Participation in The Game
NORWALK, Conn. – The 2006 PGA Merchandise Show & Convention education conference will grow to more than 100 seminars, Jan. 26-28, in the Orange County Convention Center and is being organized by a collaborative effort of PGA Golf Exhibitions, The PGA of America, the Association of Golf Merchandisers, leading golf organizations and renowned experts for the benefit of some 45,000 attending industry professionals at golf’s annual global business gathering.
To improve the exchange of successful approaches among PGA Professionals and industry experts, the 2006 Show education conference adds new roundtables and best practices sessions to an already full calendar of seminars and PGA Member programs. Industry experts such as Tom Shay, Sheryl Bindleglass and Becky Wilkins are among some 50 respected instructors teaching within six professional development tracks including: General Management, Marketing & Promotions, Retail Merchandising, Golf Operations, Instruction & Teaching and Core Competencies. The PGA of America also will present several PGA member complimentary programs in the PGA Member Business Center.

"Every aspect of their wide-ranging responsibilities is addressed within the conference and now the conference is fostering an even better exchange of ideas through the new roundtable and Best Practices sessions."
New 30-minute roundtable sessions will be offered Thursday, Jan. 26, led by an industry expert and including a panel of industry peers discussing topics such as: Branding, Email Marketing, Tournament Sales, What Women Golfers Really Want, Top 50 Instructors, Attracting Multi-Cultural Golfers to Your Facility, Clubmaking and Power Promoting Ideas, The 45-minute Best Practices sessions will be offered, Saturday, Jan. 28, with an expert moderator and including a panel of industry peers discussing best practices for topics such as: Open to Buy Planning, Women’s Golf, Junior Golf, Attracting Multi-Cultural Golfers to Your Facility, Merchandising and Websites.

A full conference pass includes unlimited seminars throughout the conference and all course materials. A conference day pass, which includes unlimited sessions on the selected day and course materials, is $150.
