MARLBOROUGH, MA – It took a four-hole playoff at Phoenix Country Club in Miyazaki, Japan, but in the end, that tournament winner again wore CHAMP spikes. This time the winner was wearing CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec metal spikes using the CHAMP Q-LOK System®.

The win marked the continuation of a great season for the company. During the 2005 season, CHAMP spikes have won 22 times on the PGA Tour, including three of the four major championships. In 2004, CHAMP golf spikes produced 65 victories on the professional tours, with 34 Stinger wins, 14 CHAMP ScorpionSpikes wins and 17 CHAMP 6mm Cer-Mec wins. CHAMP Stinger spikes posted seven victories on the PGA Tour, seven on the LPGA Tour, eight on the Champions Tour and 12 on the Nationwide Tour in 2004.
