Fore! New Stroke-saving Golf Technology Hits The Market Just In Time For The Holidays

November 29, 2005

ROSEVILLE, Calif., Nov. 29, 2005 – This holiday season, what’s the best gift for the golfer who wants to lower their score? Or the golfer who would like to reduce the amount of time and frustration spent searching for lost balls on the golf course? RadarGolf hopes to supply the answer to these questions with its new findable golf ball system that uses radio frequency technology to help golfers locate lost balls and eliminate costly penalty strokes.

RadarGolf’s Ball Positioning System (BPS)â?¢ technology can locate a lost golf ball in seconds. Once the handheld device detects the high-quality, low-compression two-piece RadarGolf Ball via radio frequency, the LCD display and audio tone indicate in which direction the ball is located. The signal continues to increase as the golfer moves closer to the ball.

The system comes with two patented Shield-Itâ?¢ pouches engineered with a metallic coating, which prevent the handheld from detecting other RadarGolf Balls not in play. The RadarGolf system is allowed for posting U.S. Golf Association handicaps, but cannot currently be used in USGA tournament play.

"RadarGolf is the only technology of its kind that can quantitatively help golfers take strokes off of their score," said Chris Savarese, RadarGolf president and founder. "If you’re looking for the perfect present for the golfer in your life, or for yourself to improve your own game, RadarGolf is here just in time for the holiday gift-giving season."
