LPGA champions to use UpLink’s GPS-based course management system during rescheduled event at Reunion Resort & Club in Orlando, Florida
November 28, 2005 – Austin, TX – UpLink Corporation announces that the UpLink Birdies for Breast Cancer Charity Golf Classic that was to take place on October 22, 2005 at the Reunion Resort & Club in Orlando, Florida has been rescheduled due to Hurricane Wilma. The UpLink-sponsored event will now take place on December 3, 2005 at the same location.
Hosted by LPGA champion, Cristie Kerr, the tournament features some of the top names in women’s golf, including Emilee Klein, Patriciai Meunier-Lebouc, Brittany Lincicome, Jan Stephenson, Leta Lindley and Karen Stuplles,
While fans cheer on their favorite golfers, the real heroes of the UpLink Birdies for Breast Cancer Charity Golf Classic are the scientists and doctors at the associations that will benefit from money raised at this event, The Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute. These individuals work day in and day out to prevent the estimated 40,000 deaths per year attributed to breast cancer in the United States alone.
