Srixon staff players also earn top 6’s on European Tour and JGTO

ATLANTA—November 28, 2005 Srixon Staff Professional Robert Allenby fought off an injury and difficult, blustery conditions to claim the MFS Australian Open Title at Moonah Links (Open Course) in Victoria, Australia. Allenby used a full bag of Srixon clubs including the W-403AD driver, W-403AD 3 and 5 woods, I-404 irons, WG-504 wedge and the Srixon Z-UR golf ball. The 1994 Australian Open Champion opened with a blistering course record 63 en route to a 1 shot victory and his second in the event.

Standing on the long Par 5 18th hole with a one shot lead and armed with his Srixon 403 AD Driver, Allenby launched a 373 yd drive down the 640 yd 18th hole and then put his second shot just through the green. Only needing a chip and two putts, Allenby secured the 2005 MFS Australian Open with a Par on the final hole.

Srixon staff players also had good weeks around the globe. Two Srixon Staff Professionals had strong showings at the Volvo China Open, a co-sanctioned event between the European and Asian Tours. Chwalit Plaphol tied for 4th while playing the Srixon Z-URS golf ball and I-404 irons, while Peter Lawrie finished 6th playing the Z-URS golf ball, W-506 driver and I-302 irons.

On the Japan Golf Tour, Hidemasa Hoshino used a Srixon Z-URS golf ball and Srixon woods and irons en-route to a 4th place finish at the Casio World Open.

Srixon golf balls have earned 29 wins across the globe in 2005
