The Putting Arc congratulates the Old Waverly team for its victory in the 2005 Bryan Cup, and Mississippi State University golf coach, and current Mississippi State Amateur Champion, Clay Homan for his individual win. The Bryan Cup features five man amateur teams from across the state, playing in a college medal play format. It is held annually at Old Waverly Golf club, site of the 1999 USGA Womens Amateur and the 2006 USGA Womens Mid-Amateur. The Old Waverly team included a three time Mississippi State High School Champion, and the current Mississippi Senior Amateur champion, and all five team members as well as the individual champion are long time Putting Arc users. Old Waverly is also the "home course" for The Putting Arc. Old Waverly teaching professional and Putting Arc co-inventor V.J. Trolio has a state-of-the-art, all-weather teaching facility on the Old Waverly driving range.
