IRVINE, CA and TORONTO – Element 21 Golf Company (E21) recently reported on the completion of its 2005 PGA Tour Program.
In August 2005 Element 21 Golf Company (E21) initiated a PGA Tour Program under the direction of Mr. Andy Harris of Spotlight Sportz Inc. In a very short period of time E21’s new Scandium shafts have created a significant buzz on the PGA Tour attracting the attention of a wide number of leading Tour players.
"The interest we have generated and the success we have had on Tour has exceeded our initial expectations," stated E21’s President and CEO, Nataliya Hearn, Ph.D., P.E. "Having a highly respected international star playing our product at the end of the season has certainly helped accelerate the interest. In the coming weeks we will be providing no less than 17 PGA Tour professionals with custom fitted Scandium shafts. Of these players, 15 played at the season ending Tour Championship that was exclusive to the top 30 money winners in 2005. During the off-season we will work on getting additional Tour professionals to make the switch from steel to Scandium while planning our 2006 campaign. In addition to picking up where we left off on the PGA Tour, we expect to spend more time working with professionals on the Champions Tour in 2006, where our Scandium Shock Blok(TM), vibration dampening system has already caught the attention of several Champion Tour players," commented Dr. Hearn.
According to Mr. Harris, since he began working with PGA Tour Professionals he has not seen a new product generate as much interest and attention. Mr. Harris expects that no fewer than 30 Tour professionals will be using E21’s Scandium shafts in 2006. The feedback from the Pros has been very consistent.
Comments have included the following:
"The control and accuracy I now have compared to steel is truly remarkable."
"While the extra distance is great, the improvement in accuracy is huge and the soft feel is really something else."
"The consistency from club to club is very impressive."
"The lack of vibration will definitely help my tendonitis from acting up and will allow me to play better come Sunday."
"On behalf of the company and Board of Directors I would like to thank the E21 team for their hard work to make our initial PGA Tour presentation such a success," commented Dr. Hearn. "From all of our staff in California and Toronto, to Andy Harris, to our engineers and manufacturing partners, that had to retool the entire manufacturing facility in a matter of days to catch up with the new shaft designs, some as high as 5X stiff, a lot of hard work and coordination has gone into this program," said Dr. Hearn.
