Rifle Project X Wins Australian PGA

December 6, 2005

TORRINGTON, Conn. — Winning for the second consecutive week Down Under, premium Rifle® Project X steel shafts out-scored the competition and delivered victory at the Australian PGA Championship. The win was the champion’s third Australian PGA title since 2000.

Winning the Australian PGA and the Australian Open in back-to-back weeks tops off a fantastic year for premium Rifle steel shafts, which claimed dozens of victories on the professional tours and which are today used by Three of the Top Five ranked golfers in the world.

"Rifle Project X continues to prove its exceptional consistency and accuracy among the best players in the world, and we are excited to see Project X once again demonstrate why it is considered the world’s most advanced steel shaft," says Ray Lucas, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Royal Precision. "Often praised for its innovative and patented design, the Rifle Project X shaft helps players maintain their highest level of consistency by using a different per-inch constant taper that provides greater energy transfer to the ball at impact and optimum trajectory."

Rifle steel shafts are often considered the world’s most advanced steel shaft because the shaft design incorporates four unique technologies which provide unparalleled performance and consistency. Only Rifle steel shafts offer: Frequency Matching that perfectly matches a set of clubs through electronic calibration; Stepless Design Technology that eliminates the energy-robbing ‘steps’ found on most other steel shafts, and provides greater accuracy and a smooth, yet solid, feel at impact; Patented Internal ‘Rifling’ that transfers energy more efficiently, reduces vibration and increases distance; and advanced Flighted Technology that produces variable ball trajectories for different clubs within a single set.

During the 2005 PGA Tour season, the Rifle Project X shafts have won Mercedes Championships, FBR Phoenix Open, AT&T Pebble Beach, WCG Match Play Championship, Bell South Classic and the PGA Championship.
