Sonartec Wins 18th Worldwide Event in 2005
Carlsbad, California – Monday, December 5, 2005; Sonartec congratulates the seventh-ranked player in the world on his victory at the Nedbank Challenge in Sun City, South Africa over the weekend. The win in South Africa is Sonartec’s 18th of 2005, the highest single-season win total in the manufacturer’s five year history.
Locked in a sudden-death match with three of the Top 20 players in the world, the Champion holed a 9-foot birdie chip from the fringe to win. It was the Champion’s second win in 2005, both of which came while playing a 13o Sonartec SS-series three wood and a 21o Md hybrid transition club. The Champion was one of two players in a 12-man, invitation-only event to play Sonartec.
"We congratulate the Nedbank Champion on both his win this weekend and his stellar season," said Sonartec Marketing Coordinator Jamie Hoyle. "Much of our success on Tour in 2005 can be attributed to the Champion, and we thank him for his continued support."
