TORRINGTON, Conn. — Delivering consistency, accuracy and performance, premium Rifle® Project X steel shafts once again dominated the field Down Under, winning the Australian Masters and claiming the ‘Triple Crown’ of the Australian Tour. Playing Project X shafts in his irons, this year’s Masters champion also won the Australian Open and the Australian PGA Championship, making him the first player to win all three of the Australian majors during the same year.

In addition to the three Australian majors, premium Rifle steel shafts have captured nearly 50 wins this year on professional tours worldwide, and Rifle shafts are today used by Three of the Top Five ranked golfers in the world.

"Because of its combination of stepless design and innovative technologies, the Rifle Project X shaft is often considered the world’s most advanced steel shaft, and we’re very pleased to have the best players in the world choosing to play our products," says Ray Lucas, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Royal Precision. "Whether in a wood, iron or the new High Launch design, Project X shafts help players maintain their highest level of consistency by using a different per-inch constant taper that provides greater energy transfer to the ball at impact and optimum trajectory."

Only Rifle steel shafts incorporate four unique technologies for unparalleled performance and consistency: Frequency Matching that perfectly matches a set of clubs through electronic calibration; Stepless Design Technology that eliminates the energy-robbing ‘steps’ found on most other steel shafts, and provides greater accuracy and a smooth, yet solid, feel at impact; Patented Internal ‘Rifling’ that transfers energy more efficiently, reduces vibration and increases distance; and advanced Flighted Technology that produces variable ball trajectories for different clubs within a single set.

During the 2005 PGA Tour season, the Rifle Project X shafts have won Mercedes Championships, FBR Phoenix Open, AT&T Pebble Beach, WCG Match Play Championship, Bell South Classic and the PGA Championship.
