Srixon’s Z-UR Golf Ball Also Wins 2nd Event of Series
ATLANTA—December 14, 2005 Srixon Staff Player Kevin Savage of East Syracuse, New York won the 5th event of the Srixon PGA Tournament Series on Monday, December 13th at the PGA Golf Club (South Course), Port St. Lucie, Florida in dramatic fashion by two-putting from 90 feet on the third playoff hole for his first career Tournament Series win. Savage, who shot a 71-72 playing with Srixon’s Z-UR golf ball, collected $5,000 for the win. It was the second Srixon victory in the series, as the winner of the 2nd event captured the title also using the Srixon Z-UR.
The Srixon PGA Tournament Series is the winter series of 6, 2-day events contested over several challenging courses in South Florida. Fields are open to PGA Class A members as well as PGA Apprentices. The series helps these professionals keep their games sharp during the cold winter months as many of them hail from courses in the colder Northern and Midwestern climates.
