Ponte Vedra Beach, FL – Women in The Golf Industry (WIGI) announces the release of a White Paper: What Women Want – from Golf for the benefit of golf operators and those in the golf business who wish to attract more women customers. The WIGI White Paper was created as a result of the 2004 Golf 20/20 program which spotlighted the growing women’s market. What Women Want – from Golf was made available for the first time at the 2005 Golf 20/20 meeting in November of this year.
Information in What Women Want – from Golf came from variety of female industry experts who have specializations in instruction, women’s equipment, women’s apparel, communicating with women golfers and other golf-related topics. It is presented in an as told to format, conversationally. The document is available as a PDF download from the Golf 20/20 website www.golf20/20.com

"We were pleased to be able to provide additional insight into the women’s market," said WIGI president and co-founder, Kathy Bissell who worked on the project. " We consider this a first version, a What Women Want 1.0, if you will. Our intention is to add to it and update it and release additional versions over time to provide even more information on how the golf industry create turn more women into best customers."
Also included in the information is a summary of past studies done on the economic impact of women golfers.
WIGI anticipates having an updated version within six months. An announcement will be made when a new version is available.
