It seems that golf courses keep getting longer and holes measuring well in excess of 500 yards are increasingly becoming the norm.
But now unreachable par-fives are set to be a thing of the past, according to the makers of the Orlimar VT830 three wood.
The fairway wood, available on Golf TV Pro Shop, claims to be able to turn the longest of holes into eagle opportunities and tests show it is capable of matching a driver while only costing £129.95.
Distances in excess of 259 yards were achieved with the VT830 in robotic tests – distances more commonly associated with the largest club in your bag.
In order to reach these distances the club makes use of a 0.830 coefficient of restitution – the maximum allowed by the R&A – meaning that more speed is transferred to the ball from the clubhead.
The club also uses variable weight technology allowing the alteration of a precision-engineered weight cartridge to select either a low or high trajectory shot to suit your needs.
And anyone buying the Orlimar VT830 from Golf TV Pro Shop will receive a free pack of Diamond golf balls as well as being covered by the channel’s six-week, money-back guarantee.
If golfers are not hitting the ball straighter, longer and with more confidence within six weeks, the retailer is promising a full product refund – and in addition to this you get to keep the golf balls.
