"Bite Certified" Training Program Continues to Promote Benefits of "Good Foot Health"
December 19, 2005 (Redmond, Wash.) — Bite Golf, rated # 1 in comfort, durability and value by the 2004 Darrell Survey, continues its mission to ensure that all retailer staff, and in turn consumers, understand the many important features of Bite Golf shoes and sandals by announcing five newly "Bite Certified" retailer personnel. B&G Golf is a key Bite Golf retailer in the Milwaukee, Wis. market and proudly recognizes Dan Kollross, Ken Zagar and Johnny Schrader from the Mequon location; Glen Turk from the Burleigh store; and Bill Johnson from the Bluemound location as its newest certified personnel.
It has been almost one year since Bite Golf introduced its "Bite Certified" retail sales training program, which was officially introduced to retailers at the 2005 PGA Merchandise Show. The program emphasizes the Bite brand as "better shoes at a better price," furthering Bite’s promotion of the importance of good foot health.
"The Certified Bite Professional Program makes it easy for Bite Golf retail partners to deliver a consistent, informed message about the benefits of our footwear," says Dale Bathum, owner and founder of Bite Golf and fan of the program. "For retailers it offers an extra level of support from Bite, while consumers gain the advantage of knowing what sets Bite apart from the competition: comfort and value."
The "Bite Certified" training program seeks to enhance Bite product knowledge at the retail level. The training involves a 30-minute CD tutorial, a clinic performed by a Bite representative, and a written exam. Those who pass and become "Bite Certified" are given a certificate of achievement in addition to discounts on Bite product and recognition on the Bite website, www.biteshoes.com.
Topics covered during training range from Bite Golf’s history and philosophy to specific product features and tips on ensuring a proper fit. Highlights include an in-depth look at the benefits of Bite’s Orthosport line, a collection of sandals and closed toe shoes that offer specialized foot beds and a liner for extra comfort, support and accommodation of orthotics.
