Laguna Beach, Calif. (Dec. 20, 2005) – The BoardRoom magazine is now accepting entries for its 2005 "Excellence in Achievement" awards. The awards recognize both vendors and educators for their impact, achievements and contributions to the club industry.
All award entries and supporting materials are reviewed by an independent panel of industry experts representing various aspects of course and club operations. Category winners are selected for projects completed, projects introduced, innovative services offered, etc. in 2005.
"These awards are unique," explained John Fornaro, publisher of The BoardRoom magazine and president of the Association of Private Clubs & Directors (APCD). "This is the only industry event where suppliers to private clubs are recognized for their accomplishments."
Awards for first place winners will be distributed at a luncheon on June 25 during the Association of Private Clubs & Directors’ annual convention at Boca West Country Club in Boca Raton, Florida. That evening, award recipients will also be recognized on stage in front of approximately 600 guests during a charity gala event. Attendees will include general managers, board members, course superintendents and many others.
Winners in each category will also be featured on the cover of the September/October 2006 issue of The BoardRoom magazine and commended inside the publication via an eight-page spread. Further recognition will be published in Club Management and Golf Course Management magazines.
