Cog Hill Golf and Country Club retains Golf Convergence

Chicago, IL (December 22, 2005) – Cog Hill Golf and Country Club, a premier Midwest golf facility, retained Golf Convergence to analyze and assist in the selection of a new golf management software system.

General Manager Nick Mokelke of Cog Hill stated, "it is our belief that to remain the preeminent golf facility in the Midwest, w e needed to leverage the benefits of available software solutions to ensure a heightened customer experience. Today’s value-oriented golfers expect the convenience of on-line reservations, email confirmations, and wireless services in the clubhouse." Golf Convergence launched the selection process by writing an RFP that defined Cog Hills’ requirements, invited over twenty-five firms to respond, and screened the proposals. A group of qualified vendors were then invited to conduct a web-based demonstration, from which a short list of vendors were selected by the course management team for an on site presentation.

"Differentiating between the highly comprehensive software solutions available today to find the best match for a facility’s unique operational requirements is a real challenge," J. J. Keegan, Principal of Golf Convergence commented. "Golf courses only select a vendor once every five years. Keeping abreast of which firms are providing the best and most complete solutions, support and training is difficult, and not a productive use of the astute golf course manager’s time. Our process of seeking qualified applicants, and providing an executive summary of all the integrated talents, allows the facility to spend their time in the final selection of solid vendors. Because the selection of the proper vendor will greatly aid Cog Hill’s ability to deliver optimum customer service, they wanted to ensure sure they got it right."
