Bandon, OR –January 1, 2006–Along with changing the way people think of golf scorecards, Drycard, Inc. is changing the way golf companies think about catching the buyer’s eye through advertising. Rushel Reed, a Founder of Drycard, Inc. explains, "We are tired of golf advertising being so one dimensional. Golf appeals to everyone now and it is time we got back to understanding that it shouldn’t be about how shiny something appears through advertising. Golf products should be about functionality and design. The ability to not take yourself too seriously and laugh once and awhile is important too. That is what we are all about, functionality, design and letting those 2 things help you enjoy yourself on the golf course."
The ad shows an adolescent boxer raising his gloves in victory after a knock out of his competitor. The offset type and a boxer is hardly the status quo for golf advertising these days. Rushel says, "I guess the skinny kid is actually portraying Drycard, Inc. because we are so new. However, we feel like the PGA EXPO is going to open the door for us to knock out paper scorecards. We are a far superior product and everyone will see that if they just come by the booth for a demonstration."
