Melbourne, Australia – Tee2Green Technologies Pty Ltd announced today their participation and plans to exhibit the Sureshotgps, the latest GPS device for measuring distances from tee to green at the golf industry’s most influential business gathering, the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show & Convention, January 26-29, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
Tee2Green Technologies will be located in the main section of the Show floor, in booth number 8541.
The Sureshotgps has been developed and produced by Tee2Green Technologies Pty Ltd in Melbourne Australia. It was developed to answer the age of old question of "How far to the pin?" With this latest handheld device distances can be measured from the tee to the front, center and back of the green together with up to fifteen hazards. The specially designed colour, backlit screen with polarized filter displays distances in either yards or metres. The device is capable of holding up to 10 courses and can be used on any course worldwide subject to local rules in accordance with the ruling provided by the R&A and the USGA in a statement dated 27th September 2005 and effective from the 1st January 2006.
Courses are available for downloading from the company website or a player can map their course using the Sureshotgps. The recorded information can then be stored on the device and/or stored and uploaded to the company website. Course information on the website is catergorised as user mapped or professional mapped. Professionally mapped courses have been mapped be a Tee2Green staff member.
Simon Webb, co-founder of Tee2Green Technologies said, "In developing the Surehotgps we not only wanted to provide a device for measuring distances from tee to green but a device that would assist with the speeding up of play which is becoming of importance to golf courses around the world. With average rounds now taking 5+ hours it is becoming increasingly important to speed up play."
