Danish shoemaker ECCO introduces its Spring/Summer 2006 Canadian men’s collection of classic, causal and sport model golf shoes featuring two completely new styles. … Stuart Appleby, winner of the Mercedes Championships is a user of the Leaderboard Total Golf Training System, which he helped to develop. … CBS Sports enters its 56th year broadcasting golf and announces a 24-tournament schedule that features more than 140 hours of coverage. Included in the schedule are the Masters, PGA Championship, the McDonald’s LPGA Championship and Ford Senior Players Championship. Also, CBS’ Jim Nantz has been named the 2005 National Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. Nantz also won the award in 1998. … Gene Blum has been named general manager at Heritage Isles Golf and Country Club in Tampa, Fla. … Claude Harmon Sr., the late head professional at Winged Foot Golf Club in Mamaroneck, N.Y., will become the 13th inductee into the World Golf Teachers Hall of Fame during a ceremony on Jan. 26 at the PGA Merchandise Show.
