LEAWOOD, KANSAS (January 16, 2006) – Accu-Length, the product whose one-of-a-kind spacer system has created powerful sales and immense attention in the junior golf club market, has taken another significant step in its growth by hiring industry veteran John Dougherty as Vice President of Field Sales.

Dougherty, who has more than 20 years of sales and management experience in the golf industry, will be responsible for coordinating Accu-Length’s staff of field representatives while creating new business with major retailers and other off-course and green grass accounts.

Accu-Length’s full line of junior golf clubs and accessories will be on display at the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fl. from January 26-29 in Booth No. 2935.

"John Dougherty is a significant addition to our company and should help Accu-Length continue to grow at an increasingly-rapid pace," says Rick Rutter, President, COO and Founder of OnTrack Sports, LLC, Makers of Accu-Length, the only Expandable Junior Golf Clubs. "His golf sales experience is immense and he has been extremely successful throughout his entire career. Other companies have benefited from his expertise and we expect the same thing will happen at Accu-Length."

Dougherty, a resident of Hoschton, Ga., and comes to Accu-Length from Tommy Armour Golf/TearDrop Golf Company, where he was a sales rep in Georgia, North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Alabama for 7 1/2 years. Dougherty was named TearDrop Salesman of the Year for 1999-2000 and Eastern Salesman of the Year for 2002-2003 and 2003-2004.

Dougherty has also been very successful elsewhere. As a sales rep in North and South Carolina for the Dexter Shoes Company, he quickly increased sales and distribution within nine months. During a 5-year stint as a sales rep at Ram Golf he increased sales and distribution in South Carolina by 400 percent in less than 18 months and elevated sales in the Arizona and Southern Nevada territory from 38th to first within the company. He was named Rookie Salesman of the Year his first year with the company. "Accu-Length is one of the fastest-growing companies in the golf industry and I look forward to the challenge of increasing that growth as much as possible," says Dougherty. "They have the best junior golf clubs on the market and I’m elated to be part of an organization that stresses quality and playability as strongly as Accu-Length does."
