SAN DIEGO — The world leader in golf grip innovation, Lamkin announces that well-known golf equipment representative Andy Kerr has joined Lamkin as its new OEM Sales Manager. Kerr will lead Lamkin’s OEM sales and service team and assist Lamkin in its continued development of strong, long-term relationships with the game’s most respected golf equipment manufacturers.

Andy Kerr, a University of San Diego graduate, joins Lamkin with the drive and knowledge that it takes to build and maintain a successful sales department. He spent the many years since his graduation working in the golf industry, expanding national and international sales contacts, increasing sales in OEM categories, and producing new and innovative OEM products.

"We are happy to have Andy as part of the Lamkin organization," says Bob Lamkin, president and CEO of Lamkin. "He’s a creative thinker with new and inventive ideas and I believe he is going to be an invaluable member of our team. Lamkin grips can be found on the clubs of nearly every major golf club manufacturer in the world, and Andy will be a great asset in helping us build successful relationships year after year."

For more than 80 years, Lamkin has set the industry standard with their advancements in golf grips including their newest innovation, the all-new Dual Density Torsion Control grip series. Introducing earlier this month, the Dual Density Torsion Control grip incorporates 20 separate, innovative stabilizing bars to reduce torque and increase club control, it also features Lamkin’s patented Laser-Tacâ?¢ surface technology which enhances traction, feel and performance in all playing conditions by means of a ‘moisture channeling’ pattern similar to those found on high-performance all-terrain tires. The Dual Density Torsion Control grip’s softer outer layer is strategically injected around the sculpted contours of the base layer to create a seamless transition from the firmer base and to provide extreme vibration dampening. Together, the unique design and surface technology allow for consistent hand pressure throughout the swing that allows a golfer to generate more distance and accuracy.
