(Vista, CA) – January 17, 2006 — La Jolla Club Golf Company today announced that it will host long drive contests for juniors and ladies each day of the show. The contests will take place at the La Jolla Club booth # 3125 using a Golfotron Home Theater golf simulator.
"We are extremely pleased to be partnering with Golfotron to host these long drive contests," said Les Miller, Vice President Sales, La Jolla Club Golf Company. "Their simulator provides realistic golf course scenes which will make it more fun and appealing for the juniors and ladies who participate in our contests."
There will be a separate junior and ladies long drive contest each morning and afternoon of the show. The winners of the morning and afternoon contests each day will receive a new Junior or Ladies Titanium driver. The grand prize winner per category each day will win a complete set of Junior or Ladies clubs. The morning contests will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Thursday, January 26th – Sunday, January 29th and the afternoon contests will take place from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Thursday January 26th – Saturday, January 29th.
La Jolla Club will be displaying its new Knife Junior Sets, Super Flex Junior and Teen Sets, and Lady Accent Elite clubs at booth # 3125 and at its hospitality suite in room M303A. The room is located on the Mezzanine Level just up the escalator from the Equipment Section. Customers can stop by the hospitality suite everyday during the show to meet, relax and enjoy refreshments.
Golfotron, which will be on display in booth #6541 at the PGA Merchandise Show, is a modular golf simulator powered by Sports-Coach Systems. Based on the new GPS 3D CustomPlay Program, it has many features such as a flyover of the holes being played. While a camera located behind the ball shows the ball traveling down the fairway, real 3D rendering graphics make the golf course even more realistic.
