Sean Gradomski Named Head Golf Professional At Royal St. Kitts Golf Club
Orlando, Florida – January 17, 2006 – Marriott Golf, the world’s largest resort golf management company, today announced that Greg Downer has been named Director of Golf, and Sean Gradomski has been promoted to Head Golf Professional for Royal St. Kitts Golf Club, at the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & The Royal Beach Casino in Basseterre, St Kitts.
These announcements come on the heels of Marriott assuming management control of Royal St. Kitts in 2002 and implementing a multi-million dollar renovation program, which was completed in 2004. Redesigned by Thomas McBroom, this premier 18-hole facility now features 5 picturesque holes on the water, including 2 holes on the Caribbean Sea and 3 complete holes on the Atlantic Ocean.
In his new role, Downer, who most recently served as Head Golf Professional at St. Kitts., will oversee all golf operations for the club, including golf & grounds maintenance, and all sales and marketing initiatives.
"I am very excited to continue my work with Marriott, and look forward to the opportunities ahead as the Director of Golf at one of most prestigious resorts in the Caribbean," said Downer. "Marriott is a brand name synonymous with premier customer service, and I will continue to go to great lengths to ensure that the golf experience at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club exceeds the expectations established by Marriott."
Before joining the Marriott team, Downer spent several years at Britannia Golf Club, a semi private resort course located in the Cayman Islands. During his tenure at Britannia, he served as Director of Golf, where he was responsible for all aspects of golf course operations including, food & beverage, merchandising, teaching, tournament organization, club and corporate outings, and financial reporting.
Gradomski, who served as the Assistant Golf Professional at Royal St. Kitts Golf Club for the last two years, has been promoted to Head Golf Professional, where he will be responsible for all golf shop operations, retail merchandise, instruction, outings and tournament coordination. Prior to joining Marriott, Gradomski held the position of Assistant Golf Professional at The Palmetto Hall Golf Club, Hilton Head, South Carolina and The Classics at Lely Resorts and Country Club, Naples, Florida, respectively.
