Aureus Is Looking For A Few Good Men (And Women!)

January 20, 2006

Irwindale, CA—Aureus Sportswear, an industry leader since 1978, is looking for qualified independent golf representatives in select territories across the United States.

"The increase in demand for our products has been a very pleasant development for us," explained Aureus Vice President of Sales and Marketing Geoff Stiles, "and in order to serve this growing clientele we need to dramatically increase our sales staff."

Stiles believes that Aureus offers what most reps want from a company, but rarely receive.

"First, Aureus offers the most competitive golf apparel line in the industry," he said. "With Aureus you have the ability to sell every account in the territory with our unique mix of high end and value-oriented items. Second, you’ll also be working with a company that truly understands what a rep goes through on the job. Most of our reps have been with us for five-plus years with several who have been with us for more than a decade. Third, there will be no weekly calls for contact lists or unrealistic sales expectations. Our reps are professionals and will be treated as such."

Because Aureus understands the life and unique requirements of a road rep, the compensation structure is different than most. They pay a 10 percent commission on the entire line and it is paid by the 25th of the month following shipment. With Aureus, the rep doesn’t have to wait until the company is paid to receive his compensation.

Currently, there are 11 open territories for Aureus. They include: Dixie (AL, MS, KY); Georgia; New England (ME, RI, MA, NH,VT); Metro NY (NYC, NJ); S. Nevada, Southwest (UT, NM, El Paso); Tennessee; Illinois; W. PA; OK/LA/AR and VA/W. VA/MD/DE.

"We feel these territories will be extremely lucrative for the reps with the proper credentials," said Stiles, "and any of these areas can be combined to suit particular reps requirements."

The successful candidates will have experience as an independent golf rep for at least two years in the desired territory. They can’t carry a competing apparel line and they’ll have the ability to provide a list of at least 25 current accounts that can provide reference.
